Taylor Family Reunion

This year the annual Taylor Family Reunion was held in Las Vegas. We left Wednesday night and drove to Amarillo- thinking it was only about 6 and a half hours. It was closer to 8 with the stops we had to make because Baylee was having a pooping fest. We were so tired when we finally got there. Baylee didn't want to sleep at all- it was almost 4 before she finally was completely out- she didn't like the noise the crib she slept in made.

We left Thursday morning and it was about 14 hours of driving (including the stops) and we finally made it to Dave and Shanae's. This time we all slept good and LONG!

Friday night we went to Ben and Audrey's house for swimming and BBQ. The pool was freezing but it didn't stop the kids. They would play a while in the pool and then get int he hot tub (or spa as Elijah corrected us:))

Saturday we met at a park for a picnic and games. We had the picnic, but didn't have enough time for the games before heading up to my friend Julie's cabin.

Julie was looking for opportunities of taking pictures since she's trying to build her portfolio. She agreed to take family pictures for us, these are the first ones we've had in over six years. Unfortunately a few members of the family couldn't make it so we will try to photo shop them in. I will post those pictures when I get them from Julie.

We took the kids on a mini scavenger hunt and hike. They all had fun and loved to run free. I loved watching all their different personalities on the hike. We have some dang cute kids in the Taylor family- if I do say so myself.

The weekend ended too quick for us, and soon it was time to head back home. We stayed one night with Darrell's mom and it was great to see Caleb and Chase again- they are so tall! We also got to meet their little sister Chloe- she and Baylee are the same size, but Chloe is about 6 months older.

The drive over the dam is usually a pain, but there was no traffic Monday morning, and it gave us a chance to look at the new bridge they are building to go over the dam.... I wanted to throw up.

We made it home tonight- we are tired and sore from sitting so long. The kids did great! There wasn't any fighting, just a little boredom and too much energy at times. Baylee is at a hard age- since she can't walk she was held each time we stopped and I know she was so happy to be home and able to crawl. She figured out the stairs and keeps crawling to them. She also learned to stand up, maybe she'll break the trend and walk before 14 months?

Such a fun weekend- we can't wait for next year!! (I vote for flying though...)
