Last year at this time my kids had already missed 10 days of school because of snow. This winter has been unusually warm and my kids were DYING for a snow day. They finally got their one and only snow day!
They tried to build forts, but it just warmed up to quick and the snow turned to slush. They played for hours outside- and poor Belle was drug around to play as well. She didn't really care much for the snow.
Here are some pics I took of the kids with Belle shortly after we got her. We are looking for the perfect table to put in our kitchen nook- so for now that serves as Belle's area. Her crate, toys, food, and water are behind a gate.
The girls love her to death- she is held a lot, and is never ignored if the kids are home.
Baylee didn't quite know what she could do with Belle, she is too little to pick her up like her sisters do. So she decided she can read to Belle until she fell asleep. I thought it was so cute- Belle looks like she'd like someone to rescue her.
But Baylee actually read her to sleep!
Carly also is a little hesitant to pick her up, so when Belle is sleeping Carly is usually close by tyring to get more comfortable with her.
Ashlee has been the one to surprise Darrell and I. She is always willing to do anything with Belle, she never complains no matter what it is. I need to get pictures of her- it really quite cute. Belle will gravitate to Ash because Ashlee will hold her, play with her, and basically gives her what ever she wants. We have also noticed a big change in Ashlee's personality. She has always been a little more intense- she stresses easily and worries about things more then most. Since Belle has come Ashlee is more happy- all the time. She doesn't seem near as stressed- a lot more laid back. Darrell asked me why we waited so long to get a dog?:)
Ashlee's favorite thing to do with Belle is hold her on the swing and read. Belle just lays there happy as can be.

Love the picture of Baylee reading to Belle. Emily does the exact same thing, on almost the exact same stool. Except Emily reads to her imaginary friends!
