Sitting Pretty

Lexi and Ashlee have been getting in trouble for the past few weeks for trying to let Baylee sit on her own. They kept telling me she knew how to sit up, but I was usually in the kitchen making dinner (that's the time I have them watch her for me) so I couldn't see what all was going on.

Today while Darrell was holding her on his lunch I was noticing how she holds her back. She flails it every once in a while but for the most part likes to look around (I call her my nosy child, she has to see EVERYTHING!) We sat her down and I luckily had the camera cause she sat right up!

She loves her toes, and loves to bend all the way over- but she holds herself up pretty well. We did have a few falls- but she sat and loved it!

She can't just sit and focus on keeping her balance- she has to peek behind her quite often to make sure she's not missing anything.

I can't believe she can do it already! She is my baby and is growing way too fast! I sit here in shock that she will be 6 months in a few weeks- holy cow!!

She kept making the funniest faces because of the flash (look at those cheeks!!)- so we put Carly's "Sharpay Sunglasses" on her- she still just wanted to eat the camera, not smile for it.

I told Lexi and Ashlee on the way to piano lessons that they were right- Baylee can sit up. Mom just kind of freaks out when she is not right there to make sure she doesn't hurt herself. I know, me freak out?! No, it never happens!
