No Time For Blogging

I feel like I need about 4 more hours each day to get everything done I'd like, but trust me, I don't want the days to be any longer- I'm dead by 9:00! We've had a busy few weeks with switching rooms, school being canceled for a week, a sick sick sick baby, starting a new pre school, and getting back into the routine of school. Along with all of this is a bunch of pictures I've needed to download off my camera.

The kids had a fun Christmas break, and an extra week off of school. We had lots of fun in the snow, going to Chuck E Cheese, reading lots of books (loving Percy Jackson), playing play dough, playing the Wii, playing the DS's, and movie marathons.
Here are the girls doing jumping jacks during the High School Musical pajama marathon. They had to get up and do jumping jacks if they started getting squirmy- can you tell some enjoyed it and some did NOT! Baylee just thought they were all funny. We had lunch in the couch bed too- lot's of crumbs to lay on!!

Carly started a new preschool and loves it! She has library, music class, and Spanish class just like her sisters. I loved doing Joy school, but felt Carly needed a little more. It was a hard choice- she misses all her friends from Joy school. I laugh since it's a Catholic preschool, she has to say prayers and she thinks it's great to not have to close her eyes to say a blessing and she gets to fold her arms different.
Lexi had her TREC showcase last week, she was int he Chemistry section. She said this was her most favorite section. We had to do a lot of the experiments that she did and she would explain why there was a certain reaction.
Baylee got really sick, double ear infections and a terrible cough. She had a fever and was not sleeping well at all. I kept trying to remind myself not to panic, I was so afraid of it being pneumonia again, but luckily it was not. She was also throwing up because she would gag on her mucus, then on her medicine. We finally go the nebulizer out and did breathing treatments on her to help the wheezing go away, and the antibiotic has had time to work. I was in the process of weaning her, but with how miserable she was I decided I'd just keep nursing her right before bed. She is now finally sleeping through the night again thank heavens!
We ordered the girls new beds- they chose sleigh beds- and we'll order the green bedding this week. Ashlee told me she doesn't mind sleeping on a mattress on the floor, maybe I should cancel her bed and save the money!:)
Carly had a movie day for preschool today, but the older girls were out for MLK day. I took them to Hobby Lobby and they chose a craft to keep them occupied and I wanted to introduce them to knitting or crocheting. Unfortunately my crocheting abilities are not that great, and I have zero knitting skills, so we ended up with a latch hook. Read the box, it says everything I love- EASY FUN QUICK. This is as domestic as we get!
I thought Carly would enjoy a craft, so she got a sewing kit to make little pillows. She was so excited to have a needle she could hold- and it was even better since it was pink!
Having 4 kids wasn't so hard in the beginning, but I am slowly realizing how hard it is to make sure every one's needs are met. I have days of crying and frustration with myself for not getting everything done, not being as loving as I should, not being as patient as I should, but I also have days of giggles from my sweet girls, hugs and kisses from kids and Darrell, smiles so big from Baylee even if I'm not showered or haven't brushed my teeth. Learning to juggle life is hard, but I would never trade it!

Don't be so hard on yourself. You are a great mom. They won't remember that you weren't showered, but the might remember your teeth weren't brushed:)

I could have written that last paragraph myself!! I feel spread so thin with four kids and can only concentrate on one at a time - it's so tough!

Can't wait to see pictures of the sleigh beds with the bedding - I bet they will be darling!
