Ashlee Turn's 9!

While Darrell's mom was here she had the great idea to do a little surprise party for Ashlee, a week early. On odd birthday's we have a family party, so with this being an odd number year and Grandma being here so close to her big day we loved the idea!
Ashlee was clueless. I made her favorite peanut butter brownies, but made them cupcakes and convinced her they were for me to take to the RS Broadcast that night. Darrell, Grandma and Ashlee went to get Subway for dinner, and get ice cream for the broadcast of course.:)
After eating I had Lexi and Carly help me carry her gifts in while I silly stringed (is that a word?) her. She was so surprised and happy. She told me later she has always wanted a surprise party. If I knew how easy it was to make her happy I'd do it more often!

Ashlee loves hats!

On her actual birthday we had a very busy day! It was also her teacher's birthday that weekend so I had to come up with something from the class (we didn't get much help from parents this year) and take it in early to get the class to sign it.

I took her Krispy Kremes to eat with her lunch and got to visit with all her little friends. After school we took her to dinner/ dessert and then she had a friends birthday party that night.

With softball, parties, and Darrell's injured foot we didn't get to do a whole lot more then that. But look at her face in these pictures! She was so happy, and didn't even notice I didn't have any candles for the brownies!
