Adrenaline

Darrell is Lexi's softball coach this year. Darrell and Lexi have loved it. Their team- Adrenaline is a great little team! They have lost 3 games- but holy cow these girls have put up a good fight. They all have grown so much through the season- they all can hit- all of them! That's huge because some of them have never played before this year.

It's been really fun watching Lexi continue to grow and develop in softball. She was 6 almost 7 when she first started. She was a little timid with the machine pitch and went the first half of the first season with out hitting the ball one time in a game. In practice she made contact, but she always felt the pressure at the games. I remember I stayed home with Carly because she had a fever- Darrell, Lexi, and Ashlee came home and told me Lexi hit the ball both times she was up to bat. I was so happy for her- and so sad for me to have missed that great achievement for her. After that she's been swinging like crazy!

Each girl has a "thing" they do when they get up to bat. Lexi's is she taps the base 4-5 times with her hand out to tell the ump she's not ready- every time. I love it.

Here are some of the other pics I got of her. I'm hoping for another wind free game so I can use my closer lens- but I won't take my camera out of the bag if there is any wind. Softball dirt and camera's do NOT mix!
