Where are the 2 Year Old's?

Yes, this is not a good thing to wonder! The other night we were outside with the neighbors. The older kids were looking at a turtle- mine were a safe distance away of course! The women were chatting and the men were supervising the turtle watch. It had been about 10 minutes and one of the kids ran to the back. I of course took this opportunity to ask what the little kids were up to so I didn't have to get up. It had been a while since we had seen them or heard them. The response was, "They're in the back coloring all over themselves." We jumped up and ran to the back yard and sure enough- they had found a bag of markers and were decorating themselves.
My friend, Aubrey ran home to get her camera, while I kept trying to keep them from touching me or anything else for that matter! Their hands were a mess! They had colored so hard on themselves it had broken the tips off the markers! Not all of them were washable either. Carly decided to go for the dark is beautiful look, while Anna thought the variety of colors suited her better. We couldn't stop laughing- not a good thing either- I know it encourages them. A side note- Darrell makes fun of me because when we get together with friends he ends up chasing the 2 year old's and making sure they aren't into something. I told him I would pay more attention so he could actually visit with his friends. Well needless to say, he got a good laugh because look what happens when I'm watching them!!

The only good thing about this story---they were outside when they did it instead of in the house, where it could have been on carpet or walls!! It is uncanny how 2 year olds always find markers and color on themselves :)

I finally had to put our markers away because Porter and especially Zach would draw on their arms to make tatoos (because basketball players have tatoos). At one point, Zach even drew himself a mustache and beard! And I agree with above - at least it wasn't on the walls! It only takes a few baths to get it off arms and legs... :)
