Enough Is Enough!!

If you read any of my friends blogs that live here in Bentonville you will see a common post on all of our pages- RAIN! It is ridiculous! I love rain and know we need it for things to grow, water to drink, and all that good stuff, but at this point all the plants are dying from being flooded, the lakes are running over and flooding roads, and it's been a massive down pour on and off for a few weeks now! Last night we had some crazy thunderstorms- the severe weather was south of us thank heavens! I was watching Gilmore Girls reruns, and could hear a drip noise. I looked all over for it and couldn't find it. Darrell got home from playing racquetball and said the front door is leaking like crazy! We have complained to our builder that water leaks in when the rain comes at a certain angle and he hasn't done anything about it. Last night it was pouring in, so I took pictures.
This is the top of our door- I'm wondering if the top of the door frame is damaged from the water.
The water was coming under the door, there is no seal! I'm going to be really mad if the wood floors get damaged from this!
The water was coming in around the hinges and the frame also.
When we got up this morning the patio was flooded and we had about an inch before the water would start leaking under the back door. Why do we have issues with water in our houses?! Many of you remember the ordeal we had when we built out house in Las Vegas, 2 major water leaks resulting in loss of the kitchen for weeks. The perk was the builder paid us $50 a day for food since we couldn't cook. Anyway, I'm so tired of water damage!!
Now that I'm done venting I'll move onto another subject. I have been thinking a lot about how happy I am we have internet. It has been so fun for me to get in touch with family and friends that normally I wouldn't have any contact with because we are all over the US and busy in our lives. On Facebook I have found cousins who I used to be so close to, and it's fun to read about what they are up to. One of them just had a baby and I didn't even know she had gotten married- years ago!! Sorry Brieann! So those of you who don't update very often or think you have nothing to blog about- think of me and know I LOVE to read about anything you are up to!!

I like the rain...probably cause I never get any! I think I'd take the scorching heat for 3 mo. over what you've described any day! P.s. Hip Hip Hooray for Blogging and actually keeping in touch for once!

Haha, time flies. I also think the internet is fantastic for keeping in touch. I was always so glad for myspace (the pioneer of on-line networking)after I got married so I could keep in touch with all of my friends in Arizona.

I am ready for WARM sunny days. We've had crazy rain here also. The park behind our house is so flooded!
