I still wonder why we decided to let the girls play softball- it takes up all our spare time! But the look on their faces as they play tells me it's worth it! Lexi is on the team Tinkerbell's. When I told her what her team name was she started laughing and was so excited, she immediately started planning which Tink sweatshirt or t- shirt she would wear to her practices. Did I mention she loves Tink?! She loves playing 1st base since she actually gets to catch and throw, but they rotate and takes turns there. They have won both games so far, and has another one tonight. As all the girls on her team shout to distract the batter (yes, they already do this! I think they are a little young to get so competitive!) she doesn't shout anything, she just crouches down and waits for the ball. When ever the ball comes near her she does this little excited jump around, one jump for each time a teammate throws the ball. I'm going to try and get it on video tonight. She has a lot of fun out there, and I do have to admit it's nice to be outside for games and cheering the kids on.

Ashlee is on the team Ladybugs- Darrell is her coach. She loves having Daddy as the coach, but doesn't like it when he corrects her stance or something! They have had 2 games and don't keep score. She has lots of fun doing anything anywhere. She was so excited to pick the team name and color of the shirts. Her original choice was the Hello Kitties and pink shirts- Darrell was happy to change her mind! It's fun to watch the kids grow and learn to do things as a team!
