Memories

A few of my friends have this on their blog- and I thought it was a really cute idea!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember as long as it's nice;)!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.Come and play!

So I just read some of the comments on my page and saw you commented about German food. Real German food is stuff like sauerkraut, red cabbage, schnitzel, bratwurst and other assorted sausages, spaetzle....I am not a fan of the red cabbage or bratwurst or sauerkraut. But I love, love schnitzel and spaetzle and German pancakes are awesome too.

And memories - I remember you and Kymber and Larae and Kiersty and I sleeping on the trampoline and being freaked out by the neighbors cat. Random I know but that is one I remember.

Memories - I loved your rowdy kids! I was so glad that you would come and visit. (your kids really weren't rowdy though, They were just so cute!) I remember you both being so easy to talk to.
Another random memory, and you will probably think I am a dork, but I remember that your house was the first home I had been in with those Child safety locks. I couldn't get out of your house!!! I remember thinking, wow, you have to lock your kids inside your home? (I am laughing right now, ha, ha) I had no idea how crazy life could be with children, let alone 3. I now use those locks and I am grateful Kaden hasn't learned to open those yet.
We sure appreciate your friendship.

I remember having a barbeque at Jared and Tanya's just before we moved to Iowa. It was so fun to have the kids play and be able to say goodbye to our old friends. Hillary and Lexi were so young and had to much fun together! I'm glad we have stayed in touch though!

Pick just one memory? Hmmm, I remember watching soap operas with Robyn and eating junk food after school. I remember jumping the fence to jump on your trampoline. I remember lots of sleep overs and midnight giggle fests! I remember how kind you always were to all my little sisters and how much you loved babies, still do I'm sure!
I also remember eating at the Macaroni Grill with our husbands! Growing up with you sure was fun! I'll have to post again if I think of something really good!

I wish I had a better memory, but I'll give this a try.
Here's what I remember:
Our sweat stained shirts from when we worked at Terrible Herbst during the summer. Why did we ever work there???
How much you loved and spoiled Cheyanne when your family watched her.
I remember thinking that your girls would have such cute hair...and they do!
I remember you burning your forehead when doing your fancy bangs.
I remember singing together to our church music.
I remember how mad your dad was when you snuck out so we could dye our hair..."NEVER AGAIN!"
I remember going to Wendy's many, many times and you dipping your fries in your frosty. Do you still do that??
I remember when you tricked me into thinking a roach was crawling up my leg..and I said a naughty word in front of your mom.
I remember walking to school every day...and not getting beat up once...even if we had many close calls.
I remember working at Ross together and spending way too much money.
I remember you saying that you would only adopt children because of the pain...
I remember missing you when you moved to live with Jeff and Stacy.
I remember sitting in the back seat as the "chaperone" a.k.a. third wheel when we went to the drive-in w/Adam.
I remember how much I loved spending time with your large busting family.I loved sitting spinning in that chair by the front door!
I remember how much your family loved Ice Cream...especially your dad.
I remember your mom crying when she had something important to say. What a wise, wonderful woman!
I remember how you could always remember all of the funny stuff I did...even if I never could. I'm going to have to do this sometime too!
Wow! I surprised myself with everything I remembered. And I bet you can remember even more! Thanks for so many wonderful memories!!!! Our friendship is such a part of who I am today. What a blessing you have been in my life. Thank you.

Since we grew up in the same family I have lots of memories. I got a kick out of Julie and Janelee's. It brings back things you forget about.

I remember you pinching me, I have the scar to prove it. I remeber your nick name. I won't say it in case you ahte it. I remeber MO and sharing a beroom in the basement. I remeber moving to Las Vegas and I think that is when we started getting along. I remeber hanging out with the Squires. I remember getting chased by thos girls because Julie had a red shirt on. I tell my boys that is a newer version of the story of Samuel the Lamanite. I remember being thankful you didn'y tell mom about the hickies from Daniel, but mad for telling them about ditching with Brad. I miss you living in Diamond Summit. It was nice having you close. I'm grateful to have you as my sister.

A memory... hummm... While you may not want to remember it, I remember the night you passed out in your kitchen and you called me to come stay with the girls at 1 a.m. while you and Darrel left in the ambulance. But better memories are of hanging out during the summer evenings with our little kids chatting it up until we couldn't see anymore. And remember the adult's Valentine's dance when Rhett started break dancing?? HA HA!!
