Exciting Week

We have had a lot of excitement here this week! To some of you these things may not be so exciting, but it's pretty big to us! Let me start off by saying no, we're not having a baby!

After a year and a half of not having a cell phone- I FINALLY GOT ONE! I never used my phone when we moved here so we cancelled it. Recently Darrell and I have noticed how hard it is for me not to have one. IT's amazing how much we depend on these dumb phones!

I have no idea how to do all the cool things on it- hopefully I can figure it out!

The next big news is that I finally bought a purse! I haven't bought a purse in years- but I decided I needed to break down and just buy one. Lexi went with me and had a lot of fun helping me choose- I think we did pretty good.

The next exciting news is that we are going to California for 2 weeks. We have had this planned since April, but wanted to surprise the girls. We have been debating on telling them because they are going to notice the packing and me cleaning like crazy, so we told them this morning. We acted like they were in trouble and we needed to have a little meeting. They were so relieved to not be in trouble! We leave Wednesday and will stay with Darrell's Grandparents in San Diego for a week The girls LOVE Darrell's Grandparents- well, we do too! We've always have so much fun staying and visiting with them. After San Diego we are going to Disneyland for a week. We used to go a couple times a year- but that stopped abruptly when we moved here. We did make it to Disney World right before moving here- but that was a year and a half ago- so we are VERY excited to go! Lexi has over heard us talking about our trip- a lot of people knew, even the kids friends knew- but no one slipped except us! Lexi asked a few questions, but we would tell her that we thought we were going to go but it was too expensive- yes, we lied! I did feel guilty lying- but I didn't want to ruin the surprise.

We are sad to leave Brittney behind- I know she's sad about it too, but she has work and she wants to make as much money as she can before she goes back the first week in August. It's been really fun having her here! She has liked it too- I think. She thought it would be a little different- but was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is here. She keeps saying she wishes she could stay a little longer- it might be because of that guy a Hollister too! But she's a great kid and we love having her here.
