California!

It was so fun to spend 10 days in California, but it sure is nice to be home in our own bed! Here's a little of what we did!
We first went to San Diego and spent 5 days with Darrell's Grandparents- and dang it! I forgot to take pictures of the kids while we were there with them! While we were in SD Darrell took Lexi and Ashlee to a Charger's football practice. They were amazed at how big these guys are! We also went to the beach- it was so nice! Carly was HORRIFIED of the water, but Lexi and Ashlee could have stayed for hours! We also took the kids school shopping- we found the BEST sale at JC Penny! I normally don't even go in that store- but as we went through we saw some great sales- so great that we spent $240 and on the bottom of our receipt it said we saved $689! What a great feeling! We also went to the temple with Darrell's Grandpa- he is a Sealer, and always does a session before starts. Grandma usually goes with him to his Thursday night session and we were asked many times where she was. It was very obvious to Darrell and i that they are a loved couple there and many people look up to them. As we were sitting in the temple Darrell left to go the bathroom before the session started- side note- we had to be there early so Grandpa could introduce us to everyone- and I mean everyone! As Darrell left Grandpa leaned over to me and asked me- "You know what's interesting- about the male anatomy?" As I tried to keep a serious face and not laugh out loud I asked him what was interesting- he then started talking about the prostate! I can honestly say I have never spoken of the prostate in the temple before! Besides the prostate conversation it was a great experience! I still am jealous of everyone who has a temple so close- I don't think i will ever take it for granted again!

At the Charger's practice

The marble game we all fight over- Darrell made it with one marble left!

So happy to be at the beach!

Ashlee was a little nervous at first, Lexi was so ready to jump waves!

Carly stayed as far from the water as possible!

They were relaxing and weren't watching the waves- this little one knocked them over!

Darrell's mom came up Saturday night and spent the day with us and Grandpa and Grandma on Sunday. Monday we left for Disneyland and couldn't wait! We had a great time! The weather was nice- the lines weren't long at all! Tuesday we were excited for another fun relaxing day, and while Sharon, Lexi, Ashlee, and I were on a ride an earthquake hit! We didn't notice and kept walking, people were running and screaming- it was quite comical! Darrell had called me on my phone while we were on the ride- I tried calling him back after i heard there was an earthquake. He didn't answer and i started to get worried. A few minutes later he called back and said he and Carly were on the other side of the park getting fast passes and he could feel it. People were running off the roller coaster screaming there too. We were very blessed for it to not have caused any damage! We went back tot he hotel since everything closed at the park and took the kids swimming instead. It did make us wonder though- is it us?! There were never tornadoes in Arkansas until we moved here- then we go to California and they have an earthquake?! Funny note- Darrell's mom sent a text message to Brittney and told her we were just in an earthquake- her response was- oh, is that a new ride, I've never heard of it! We laughed so hard- and texted back- a real one- not a ride!

The Bug show- it was Carly's favorite- and she LOVED the glasses!

Lexi and Ashlee at the coronation ceremony in the Princess Faire

The only coaster Carly could ride on- notice all hands are up in the Wiser family?! That is all Darrell- I'm a white knuckle sort of person!

Darrell, Lexi, and Ashlee on Splash Mountain

Big Thunder Mountain Roller coaster- Ashlee's favorite!

Lexi helping in the HSM2 show

Some of the highlights were:
Grandma Wiser being there for 2 days with us
Ashlee being tall enough for Splash Mountain
Tower of Terror
Lexi being tall enough for Screamin
The Camelot Hotel was GREAT!
Carly riding the Tea Cups over and over!
Having a Character Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen
Darrell realizing he has daughters who love fast rides like he does and aren't afraid to put their hands up either!!
Alissa being brave and going on a few more rides- I'm a complete chicken since I had kids!
Meeting so many character's and getting signatures and pictures
Parades and shows
All the fun family time we had!

I know this has a TON of pictures, but be thankful I didn't put all 111 of them on here! I can't figure out how to do a slide show type thing- sorry guys!

Looks like you guys had a blast! Glad you had such a great time. Oh, and if you go to slide.com, it walks you through step by step to do a slide show. Then you just copy the code, and paste it on your blog like you do a picture. If I can do it, anyone can! :)

What a fun trip! I lived in Southern California until I was 10 and we had earthquakes every once in a while, so it's not just you! You have had your fair share of natural disasters though!

The "more poop" story that I copied to put on my blog is the one that I got off your blog, from your friends. It was hilarious, and one of those things that you can relate to if you are a parent. So funny!

I can't believe you managed to bring an earthquake to CA while you were there :) It's a great vacation when you can mix that much fun, family, temple and beach! We are certainly glad you are home though!

What a great trip!! I'm glad you had so much fun! I'm jealous you went through the San Diego Temple. That is where Rhett and I were married and other than going through during the open house, I haven't been through for an actual session.

Growing up in So. CA, I've felt many an earthquake. What a blessing that it wasn't big enough to ruin your vacation!!
