Wiser Family Motto's

Our family motto's are very simple things, but they mean a lot to us. We all sat down for FHE and discussed what we think our family is. We had a HUGE list and then cut it down to the most important ones. Each of the kids gave great ideas- I was actually kind of shocked at how many they thought of. We are on day 3 of our family motto's and have referred to them numerous times- the kids stop the behavior very quickly! I want the kids to know what we expect of them, what they can expect in us as parents and what we believe in- all through their lives these will be our family motto's. We may need to add a few more, or change the wording of some- but this is us!

I did try and put that Wiser's are always on time- hoping it would make us all try harder (mainly me!) to be on time. Lexi started laughing and said, "Yeah right Mom!" Isn't that terrible- even my kids think we can never be on time!!

Darrell is in this picture- the flash covered him up! This is the only family picture I could find in this size- we need a new one!

We did the same thing for FHE this week, although I am yet to get it printed for hanging up. You guys came up with some good ones - we have our list trimmed down to 10 so far.

Does that last one say Wisers love desserts? Did you get the idea from the Parenting Breakthrough? We've tried to do that but the kids squirm around while Ben and I are trying to think. Our oldest is 4, there's not much chance we would get our children's input at this time. But Ben and I should do that. It's a fantastic idea.

The frame looks really nice. I like your mottos. I love that so many of us have done this. This idea alone was worth reading the book, huh! :)

I love your family mottos, especially the desserts. It is such a great idea. Someone commented you got it from a book, which one.
