My Roses!

I just had to post these pictures of my roses before they die. Somehow I haven't managed to kill these yet! I can't tell you how happy it makes me to look out the front door and see my roses almost as tall as me and so pretty! We lost a few last night- we had a freeze, so quite a few of my red roses died and the little flowers lost their color. I don't really know what to do with my roses now though- I know I have to cut them for winter, but how short?! I know nothing about gardening- anyone have suggestions?!

We saw HSM3 on Saturday- the girls loved it! Of course it's a little goofy- but that's the way they all are and we love them like that. The only thing I will complain about is the dresses the girls wore. Hello, did anyone else notice they were very short for all those dances?!

Many of you asked if passing out is a normal thing for me, no it's not that normal, but for me it kind of is- but when I get sick it's just what my body does. I have passed out numerous times, but the Chuck E Cheese was the longest it ever went on for. The other time was right after HS and I was moving from UT back home. I got an ear infection and felt very off balance. But I had just started my job- like my first week and was not about to take a day off. I had just changed a customers $100 bill into $20's when I passed out and threw the money as I went down. My mom and Dad came and picked me up and took me to the ER. The nurse asked me 3 or 4 times if it was possible I was pregnant. I kept telling her no- I'm just dizzy and my ear hurts. Finally after she did the urine test and it came back negative for pregnancy did she believe me. I have had the passing out thing checked out. Another time I passed out and Darrell had to call 911 because I had an allergic reaction to some medication and couldn't breathe. I was there a few hours and they finally got my body to quit passing out. The doctor wanted me to have a few tests run just to make sure there wasn't anything else going on. There wasn't anything- he just told me sometimes the body basically has to recharge itself. By passing out it shuts everything off and restarts the right way. I don't know why I do it- it's really annoying and I hate it- but there's not much I can do except make sure I take my vitamins and try and sit before I pass out. I know it's weird!

Wow! I just read your previous post about passing out and that is super scary. You take care of yourself! I am glad all turned out ok and you are doing better. Your roses are beautiful. When we used to have them, we would cut them all down to the bare basics and they always came back even better in the Spring.

Your roses are beautiful! I'm very impressed. Were they there when you moved in, or did you plant them yourself? And about the passing out...Oh my gosh! That is scary! Hopefully you never hurt yourself doing that! Glad you are feeling better!

Oh, I forgot to mention that when we lived in Utah we had lots of roses at both our homes, and in the fall, you trim them way down to just the main stem and branches. You could probably find lots of good info on line too. Good luck! :)

Your roses are beautiful. I miss mine. We used to have an entire backyard full of them in CO.

Hope your passing out episodes don't happen again. It has to be scary even if it does happen to you often. Big hugs.

Your flowers are so pretty. I'm not sure what to do for them. My neighbor has a few maybe she'd know, but I'm sure someone will have advice for you. I believe she cut them pretty short.

I'm glad your feeling better. Hopefully you won't dod the passing out thing anymore. I remeber you telling me about the allergic reaction.

Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks. Dustin asked me, "If we go to Las Vegas, who will watch Ace?" I guess he plans on coming. I think the kids have changed his mind. They don't know, but they keep asking when we will be going to Vegas. He'll do anything for his kids! We'lll see.

Your roses are beautiful, but I'm not the one to give advice on what to do with them this winter.

I too was surprised at the short skirts in HSM3. I was not impressed to see the underwear of the girls as they twirled around. It will be interesting to see if they edit that out before playing it on the Disney Channel.

So I'm guessing you don't ever donate blood! :) That is the only time I've ever passed out (only once, almost twice, and i still donate--go figure!), oh yeah and when I had my little accident snow tubing. I remember you telling me about your incident at work! I'm glad it doesn't happen too often.
Your roses are gorgeous. Every once in awhile I see roses in Las Vegas and think that I should try growing them here. Maybe next year! Loves!

So I am sorry about the passing out thing. I hope you are ok. By the way I tagged you and if you don't do it I won't tell. Have a great Halloween.

Pretty Flowers!-way to go-maybe you've broken your plant killing curse!
I'm pretty sure that grandma cuts hers way down-call her or just google it.
Glad to hear that HSM was fun-now is it more like the first one? or the second? I just thought the 2nd was a little too much drama-even for a musical

If my dad was around I could ask him what to do with the roses - when we lived in Texas he had beautiful rose bushes every year for 20 years.
That's weird about the passing out thing though- your body is almost like a computer, if it starts wiggin' out you just restart it!

Maybe you are so busy and exhausted and don't rest enough. That is kind of scarey like narcholepsy. You could go down at any moment.

We saw HSM3 as well and I was totally thinking that same thing about the dresses! I was waiting to see Gabriellas panties on that rainy rooftop scene. Totally hokey but but Maddy loved it. When we were in Disneyland they have a special HSM3 parade and Maddy was rockin out on the side lines singing every word. It was really funny.
