Today the girls started back to school!! They were of course a little nervous, but were fine when we got to class.
Ashlee is starting 3rd grade and was so happy to have Lexi's teacher from last year. She is well known for standing on her desk and dancing with the kids.
Along with more time with Carly, I get to squeeze and cuddle this sweet baby more too! She was just waking up when I got back home- such a sweet little girl!!

So now that Lexi and Ashlee are off to school, Carly is fed dressed and off playing upstairs, Baylee is happily swinging in her swing- I get to blog and then start all the fun stuff- CLEANING! I feel like I'm still adjusting to having a baby and trying to keep my house somewhat organized. With the kids home all summer I realized it was hopeless- I would clean and an hour later you couldn't tell. At least now when I clean the house will stay clean until the older kids get home from school!
Some of the women in our ward were talking about how hard it is to get the kids up for school so early, so we had back to school breakfast's on Monday and Tuesday. It was so much fun! We all brought things to eat and let the kids play. I think it was a great test run for us mom's- most of us were a little late! I forgot my camera on Monday, but I did remember it on Tuesday. We had yummy crepes and then let the kids swim. It was probably barely 70 degree's outside the pool- but the kids still had fun in the freezing water!
This morning the kids were up at 6:45 and so excited to go to school. Carly was so excited to have the house back to herself, she has been counting down the days for her sisters to get back in school! I love having the kids home, but the past two weeks they all have been fighting like crazy, they were ready to get back to a routine too.
Lexi is starting 4th grade!!
It is so sad how quick she is growing up. She was sad to have her best friend move at the end of last year, but was happy to find that she gets to sit next to a girl who went to softball camp and volleyball camp with her.

Ashlee couldn't wait to get to her desk and start her work! I don't think she was very excited to be surrounded by boys though......

Darrell stayed home with Carly and Baylee, it's a pain to get through the halls with a stroller and a 4 year old. When I pulled in the garage Carly was there to greet me! Some days I wonder how I will survive this little girl- but I am so glad I get her for one more year before kindergarten. She can't wait to start preschool in September.

Wow, your girls are lucky to have a teacher that dances on her desk. What fun!
How exciting. I love all the pictures. Where is Carly doing preschool? Have a fun and somewhat quiet day.
You can see by how they dress how different your girls are. It's so nice when they are excited to go back, as long as it doesn't wear off in a week!
First Day of school is always so much fun!!
What is it about that third child! My does totally better when the girls are in school as well. You would think it would be the other way around, that they would enjoy the playmates?
We don't start school here for another 3 weeks.....what am I going to do?!
Yeah for school starting...although I am not quite ready. We dont start til after Labor Day, which is nice..but Rissy goes this year and I am so so so sad. Glad you still have a few years before your last one goes..it is a killer. Lex is in 4th grade?? Puke. Impossible that she is that old!!
Oh my gosh, reading about someone else being excited with all of their new-found time is getting me even more pumped for Elijah to go back to school. You said that the girls have been fighting for the last couple of weeks...well, Elijah bullies the girls most moments he is home even when he goes to school. So this has been a rough summer for mom! I can't wait for Monday. I'm already feeling like a new woman. Yahoo!
