We decided this year to let the kids have Christmas parties with friends and see how it goes. Carly's was her birthday party since she wanted a Christmas themed birthday. She had 11 of her friends over and probably had another 10 she would want too. I had to cap it at 12 kids since there was puffy painting. She had so much fun doing crafts, painting, and cake. She loved all her presents and has been playing non stop in her room with all of them for weeks now.
Lexi and Ashlee's parties were gift exchange parties- and they loved it! Lexi's friends had a lot of fun stealing each others presents and everyone was happy with their gift when it was over.
Ashlee's friends did the "Right Left" story and passed the gifts around. Both did crafts and played Christmas Pictionary and the Name Game. Some guessed the name on their back very quickly, a few needed some crazy hints to finally figure out who or what they were.
It was a lot of fun to do, and next year we'll do it again with more kids- but I will start planning a lot sooner- it was a little chaotic planning at the last minute.
Baylee was a little confused and bothered by all the chaos, and wasn't the greatest help- next year she'll be older though and able to participate a little more.
