Swamp Band- Bentonville Parade

Since we are the Central Park Gators, the band is called the Swamp Band. All fourth graders learn to lay the recorders and then if they pass off so many songs they can be in the band.
The band performed in the Bentonville Parade. It was so stinkin cold out there! They marched and played, and lets not forget the flags going behind them... These kids worked so hard for the past few months to get this just right.

There were some fun floats in the parade I thought we needed pictures of. The theme was Christmas movies. There were quite a few Christmas Story floats which included some poor kid with his tongue stuck to the pole.
We then had the original Sam Walton truck- taken out of the Visitor Center and driven down the parade.

My favorite was the Christmas Vacation float! I laughed so hard!

The kids loved watching the parade and getting candy.
Baylee liked to walk around and pet as many dogs as she could find. I finally had to strap her in her stroller and you can tell by this picture she was not thrilled about it.
