Ashlee's Ballet Recital

Our Elementary school has a ballet program and Ashlee decided to participate this year. The ballet was Alice in Wonderland, and Ashlee was a dancing rose with a boy partner, and goodness was she NOT thrilled with that!

She had lot's of fun preparing for the recital and learning her dance. Her partner wasn't thrilled to dance with a girl, so when it came to the parts where he had to lift her he kept his hands in fists so he wouldn't get girl germs, but by doing that would give Ashlee bruises on her sides and she was dropped many times, it was very frustrating to her, but by the time the recital came he was lifting her a little better. She also was frustrated with an "immodest" costume. We don't wear sleeveless things and she really struggled with showing so much skin. Yep- she got over it.
The BEST part for her about ballet was being with so many friends!

I can't believe that little boy! What a funny kid. Isn't she at the age when they start growing out of cooties? Anyways, she looked super cute in her costume :)

She looks beautiful! You are obviously doing a great job teaching your girls good morals. Give yourself a pat on the back. I hope my children can truly learn what I am trying to teach them.
