I know- I can't believe I'm doing 2 different posts in one day! The kids started school yesterday- at their new school Central Park. I was so nervous about the kids getting lost- me nervous- shocking I know! Anyway, Lexi found her class just fine, as did Ashlee.
When I went to pick them up Lexi was no where to be found! I wasn't panicking the first 15 minutes they couldn't find her, but when it had been almost a half hour I was shaking and trying really hard not to be terrified. Ashlee was doing enough crying for the both of us in the back seat. They kept calling to the other side of the school- the other pick up side asking if they had Lexi over there. They said no, but maybe she went on the bus. I called Darrell and had him hurry home to meet the bus- in case she was on it. Luckily we live in a small town so it takes Darrell 5 minutes to get home from work! They finally found her on the other side- obviously someone wasn't looking very hard for her. A few ladies in the Ward saw her and told the teachers that I was on the other side.
Anyway, I was glad to have her with me- and not lost somewhere in her huge school! She said she was a little scared, but then she kept seeing people from church and it made her feel better. Darrell was freaking out, since he met the bus and she wasn't on it, but I called him right after saying we had her.
They love being back and tomorrow is their first day riding the bus. I'm tearing up just typing about it! Hopefully no one will get off on the wrong stop- I thinking positive! Luckily they are the last stop to be picked up in the morning and the first to be dropped off- we only live a half mile from the school. My friend let me borrow her camera for the first day, so I'll down load them when I get them along with the party picture's!

HEY! I am proud of you for letting your girls ride the bus! I went throught the same thing with Maddy here. They have an AWSOME bus system and literally almost everyone rides it. There are no houses close enough to have any walkers or bike riders so everyone takes the bus. Maddy kept begging and begging me to let her take it and I finally gave in. BUT I followed the bus the first two days until I felt safe and I cried the whole time I was following it! So silly but I felt like it was one more step taking her away from me. Anyway they will be fine and this is a big step for you!
Cute pictures, Kelsie doesnt start till Sept 5th.
