This weekend I decided to go to a Scrapbook Crop. Well, actually I was forced to go with some friends. You go to the store from 3 to Midnight and can use any of their supplies, and get 10% off anything you buy. I am not creative or crafty- so I was a little stressed on how my pages would turn out. We had a lot of fun- and I even got 6 layouts done! By the way, they even turned out kind of cute. I have realized I need a cricut- they make things so much easier. I haven't scrap booked anything for the kids- and it would be a lot of work to do each of their first years- so I am doing a family vacation album first. Maybe as I get better I'll try the kids. I think I'd rather do a digital album from Shutter fly for each of them!
Sunday we took a dessert over to our neighbors- they just had a baby 2 months ago and my friend Aubrey is dieting- so that means no dessert. At the Scrapbook Crop she was saying how her kids cry all the time for dessert- and her husband too. We decided to share. We were a little late- I had to call my mom and ask her about the Texas Sheet Cake frosting. We started walking down to their house and all 3 kids were waiting outside for their dessert! I laughed so hard- poor kids have been deprived! Aubrey has more self control then I do- we have to have something every few days or I eat all kids of stuff trying to get rid of the sweet tooth crave.
Lexi and Ashlee are loving the school bus. I still get really sad watching the bus pull away- I hate sending them off for so long. Well, I don't hate it- it's quite nice actually. I just miss them for a half second when the bus leaves. Ashlee tells me every day "I don't want to be in first grade- Kindergarten is more for me." My poor negative child- I know she get's it from me- and I don't know how to help her see more positive.
That's pretty much all we've been up to- we got the van fixed. I called the dealership and it would be $120+ to fix the battery and the cable. Darrell and some friends did it and the part only cost $1, and the battery is fine! I love when things like that happen.

Joselyn is exactly like Ashlee! For the longest time she didn't want to turn five. She wanted to be small and little and she didn't want to grow up. She would cry and be really upset if you talked about getting older. She would say stuff like she was going to miss being four and wanted to stay four forever. When her party came around she got more excited about it and came to terms with being five. She now only wants to be five and not go on to anything older. I don't really know what to say either except that she doesn't have to grow up if she doesn't want to. I don't know what I am going to tell her when she tells me she doesn't want to go to first grade either because I am sure I will here that as well. They are so wierd!
I am finally commenting. I love Twilight. It is the best. I am so excited that there are more in the series, if you hear of any other good ones let me know because I have a lot of down time. Also, your pics of your house are cute, it makes me want to move. It was nice to see you when you came this summer, and this blog is such a great way to keep in touch with everyone. Thanks!
Your scrapbook crop sounds like alot of fun--did you really go for 9 hours? I would love to do something like that. I miss the scrapbook nights they used to do over at Jana's--I would actually get some layouts done! The Cricket machine is amazing! Thanks to Jill getting my hooked on QVC, I literally had to sit on my hands when they were selling those at an unbelievable price a few months back.
My family always cries for dessert too because I never make any--It's always like, here have a popsicle or some candy. But Sunday we were very lucky because Rich and Jenny brought us some yummy cookies and they were gone within seconds!!
And yes, my kids are on the later start time at Kitty Ward and they go at 9:37 and get out at 3:48. Every Friday is early release at 3:08. It's so much easier on my kids (and me) in the mornings and I knew that with a new baby I would need that extra time in the mornings.
That's awesome you fixed your van for only a buck! We had a similar experience with our old Expedition---the battery leaked acid on the air conditioning hoses which made it stop working, but we had to pay more than $1 to fix it!
I love scrapbook crops! I wish I could do them more often. I have a Cricut and I highly recommend them - they take scrapbooking to a whole new level!!
You got me craving chocolate cake now...gotta go see what I have in my pantry...
