Bittersweet On Tooth Loss

What's so bittersweet about loosing teeth you wonder? I LOVE when kids have lost a tooth and that cute little window is there- especially when it's the top two that are gone.
Unfortunately those windows fill with GiAnT adult teeth that just aren't proportioned to our babies mouths! Ashlee has the hardest time with getting her teeth out- she never wants help with anything she does, like learning to ride a bike or roller blading or jump roping- the list could go on forever of things she knows she can do and teach herself. One of those things is pulling teeth. I get grossed out when I see a wiggly tooth and want it out as quick as possible, they are required to wiggle the tooth 100 times side to side and front to back each day in front of me until that gross little thing comes out. Lexi got tired of it and would pull her teeth out so she didn't have to wiggle it constantly. Not Ashlee- she wiggles until it just happens to fall out on one of the wiggles. Not such a bad thing except her adult teeth are coming in and I was hoping to avoid braces- no such luck! Last night her top tooth finally came out, now I'm anxiously waiting for her other three loose ones to come out.
But before those GiAnT teeth come in I love listening to her talk- the lisps are so sweet, and the silly way they stick their tongue through the whole. Her favorite trick is drinking with a straw going through the hole!

Showing how she drinks with her straw

Does she look like she's from Arkansas now?!

It is so true about the big teeth! They just don't look porportionate and I never like them as much as the little straight baby teeth. I guess they would look just as weird as an adult with baby teeth thought right? Good luck with the braces thing. I don't hold out any hope for us.
