Carly was so excited to get her glasses today. I think she looks so stinkin cute in them, and by looking at the pictures you can tell she thinks she's pretty cute too!
and her "pink Hannah Montana ones"
She was so worried about kids making fun of her, it took me a while to get it out of her where she heard the phrase "Four Eyes" but it was from Arthur. She finally stopped crying about getting glasses when she started noticing how many kids wear them- and then she couldn't wait for them.
After getting them adjusted she kept telling me how BIG (her arms would fly up every time she said big) everything was. I was very surprised to find out she if incredibly far sighted. I am completely blind, but am near sighted- she is just as blind, but far sighted. They couldn't do her full prescription on these glasses because it would be too strong, they have to work her eyes into it. So in another 4 months we will be going back for more.
But the eye doctor told me usually kids outgrow some of the far sighted-ness as they get older and do more things near sighted, like school work. So who knows if her eyes will correct themselves or just stay the same.
Seriously, isn't she so cute?!

She is so so cute. I love the glasses, she is really working them. How fun for her, I love them.
She is so cute. I love little kids in glasses! Tell her it ehances her already adorable face!
So cute! I always think kids look smarter in their glasses, especially girls.
Isn't it such a relief when you can correct a problem so easily? Tyler was 2 when we found out he was like-- legally blind-- and I remember enjoying so much being able to take care of him. Glasses are such a blessing!
