Jungle Book Kids- Baby Elephant

The 4th grade class puts on a play at the end of the year and it is a HUGE production. Each year all the kids in the school wonder what the play will be that year, it's really that big!

This year the play that was chosen was Jungle Book Kids- it was so cute! Lexi auditioned a while ago and wondered if she would get a part. I was surprised she is willing to audition since she is somewhat shy, but she had a lot of fun. She was chosen to be one of the elephants, as the teacher lined up all the kids Lexi was standing next to her friends and the teacher kept making her slide further down the line. She was the shortest of the group (by far!) and got to be the Baby Elephant. She had a little line to sing and had to skip across the stage and trip. Her knees were so bruised up from her tripping part. (I can't get the video to upload... again!)

(She did get really annoyed the diaper wouldn't stay on!)
This play was honestly a huge pain in the behind because of all the mandatory rehearsals, costume accessories, and mixing all of these things in with softball practices and games... I was ready to lose my mind! But it all worked out so well by the end and I am so glad Lexi was able to participate.

It kills me to think next year she goes into middle school! After this play was over it really hit me (again) how quick time is going. Lexi is such a sweet girl. She gets her attitude going and sometimes I swear she needs a beating, but I really can't complain too much. She is a very mild girl compared to a lot of her friends and I am so thankful she's mine!!
