Carly was so brave yesterday and got her ears pierced! I swore I wouldn't do it since Ashlee's were so difficult, but Carly asked at the perfect time. Lexi stayed home sick from the croup, but I had to run to the mall really quick. Lexi asked if we could look in Claire's really quick- it's her favorite store. I said sure, and Calry asked if she coud get earing's. I felt kind of bad when they did it because she had no idea it would kind of hurt- her little face after the first one was so sad. I kept telling her I was so proud of her, while she was crying and saying she wanted them out. Finally she calmed down- a cookie did the trick. Now if you tell her you like her earing's she tells you she's so proud of you. She obviously doesn't know what that means- but it made her happy and it get's a giggle from who ever she says it to!
Lexi is recovering form her annual winter croup. In Las Vegas it usually hit around Christmas time, it came a little earlier, probably since it's colder here. She can't just get the normal cough that everyone else gets she has to get the croup. This year we avoided the ER- that was pretty exciting! When Darrell was a baby he had the croup and was hospitalized, they put him in an oxygen tent- so we made our own with Lexi. You basically make a fort or tent out of blankets and have them and the humidifier under it for the night. We did have to make a run out to the cold air- but after a few breathing treatments she was breathing just fine. She went to school today- I wish she would have stayed home one more day just to make sure she's rested, but she hates missing school. Hopefully she'll do alright.
I know so many of you have responded to my cries of help about making my blog funner- I just haven't had time to sit down and play around with it- thanks for all the advice!! I'm going to end up doing which ever is the easiest- so no one get offended if I don't use your idea. I actually want to make Darrell do it since he's the one telling me I need to make it more exciting- but he only looks at the blog every few weeks.

Wow--I had to wait until I was 11 before I could get my ears pierced and my mom couldn't even watch! Taylor has never asked me to get her ears pierced...
What a brave girl! I always wondered with little kids if they would try to take the earrings out and lose them. I guess you are an experienced mother of ear piercers! My mom made me wait until I was 8. By the way, I can't believe how much Carly looks like Darrell.
I haven't decided when to pierce my girls ears yet. They haven't BEGGED for it yet so i have been able to avoid it. I am just so scared they will have the sensitive skin that I had that made having earrings a nightmare until I was an adult. Good job Carlee though!
Marissa is starting to ask...dun dun dun!! Kenna's were done when she was a baby but Marcus did them. I have been nervous to take her. I guess we are going to have to get them done soon! They are soo cute too bytheway!
AND AWESOME job on your site. I am sure that Darrell is so proud. It looks great!
Way to go on the blog design--you did it!!
How cute she looks. That is really fun. I am sure she loves it. Your blog looks great. Those were good changes.
I just noticed something---I had no idea that Arkansas was in Afghanistan!!!! You might want to change your profile :)
I guess there are some perks to having all boys... :) (although I'd be a little worried if my boys started asking...)
I never look forward to this time of year. We've already had the croup go around our house and I wish I could say it would be it for the year, but I know it's just the beginning. I'm looking forward to Spring and warmer weather already!
