Washington D.C.

Darrell went to Washington D.C. this week and had a great time. He served his mission there, and it was his first time back. Here are a few pictures he took, sorry they are blurry- they were on his phone.

We are trying to figure out when we can do a family trip- the girl's are dying to go. They had Freedom Week the week of Sept 11, and have been very interested in all the buildings and reasons for the buildings. Ashlee has all kinds of knowledge, her teacher has really cute way of helping them remember EVERYTHING she teaches them. Cause when she comes home I get minute by minute reports on what happened in 1st grade. Lexi's personality is so much... quieter then Ashlee's. Sometimes I feel bad because Ashlee talks so much she doesn't let Lexi get a word out. Then by the time Ashlee's done you can guarantee Carly's into something she shouldn't be- and I don't get to hear what Lexi wanted to say. Luckily she doesn't get mad- she's such a sweet kid.

I got way off subject here! Darrell left Monday morning and came back Wednesday afternoon. It wasn't a long trip, but he loved it. He and his boss met with a Senator about food safety issues, then they did a little sight seeing. The hard part was most of the time they had time it was dark. He finally got in contact of the family he helped baptize on his mission, but they had moved and couldn't get together. We can't wait to meet them, and it's been nice to email each other.

Aaron just went to DC too. He was amazed. It was his first time. He really wants to go back and take the kids. Sounds fun!!!

I went to D.C. when I was like 3 years old, so of course I remember nothing---I've always thought it would be a fun trip.

You have to take your girls there. I remember my dad taking us when we lived in new Jersey and I still remember it. I was like nine or something but it really really is amazing.
