Happenings

The girls softball season is finally done! They love it, and we love watching them- but at the end when it's hot and humid we are all ready to be done! Last night was the last game in the tournament. Ashlee was up to bat with 2 others on base and they were down by one. Ashlee has really been doing great, she has been hitting each game now- and they are great hits. So when she went up to bat there was no doubt in her mind that she would get a base hit and bring the 2 others home. She hit the ball, and got to first base- she tagged the base and then the girl tagged her with the ball. The ump called Ashlee out. Ashlee was sad, but wasn't going to say anything, but when the other team they were playing- the crowd was telling the ump it was a bad call, Ashlee realized she really was safe and the game was lost because of that call. She felt like she lost the game for her team. Then the tears came. The ump apologized and basically said he just had to make a quick call, but it may not have been the right one. Poor Ashlee! But it was a good lesson on sportsmanship and just taking things as they come. She could be really upset and mad, but she is all smiles today and talking about how great their team played. I am so glad that so far we don't have to deal with sore losers, or sore winners.

We set up our little pool in the back yard, and the slip and slide. The kids are having so much fun being out in the water, and I'm loving that I can stay in the house and watch them have fun!

Carly "chillaxin" as she says!
I forgot to blog about Lexi's volleyball camp a few weeks ago. She loved it and has started to like volleyball as well now. She is already planning on being on the volleyball, softball, and swim team when she is in high school! Here are a few pictures from her camp. I missed her serving- every time she was up someone stepped right in my way of getting a picture!

Baylee is getting bigger- seriously bigger! She has a lovely double chin that all the girls love to play with, and is finally starting to get rolls on her legs. I love little baby chub rolls! She still is a mellow baby- thank goodness! She wakes up one or two times in the night, and usually goes right back to sleep. But when she falls asleep and doesn't burp she doesn't sleep very sound and it drives Darrell and I crazy with her groans and squeaks! When she sleeps she just won't burp!

Love these little feet!

Your girls are so athletic! I can't believe it! And your little baby is precious! Boston is really good. We are really loving it here so far. Steve is super busy and I am starting a job on Monday for a couple of months before I start my grad program. I've heard the 4th of July is awesome here so I am excited for that in a couple of weeks!
