It's already been a week since we had Miss Baylee and I can't believe how quick it's gone! She is a really good baby, it could be that she is held all the time. She sleeps really well, which I am ever so thankful for! We have her in our room for now, I was worried that she would be a squeaky baby while she slept, but she is really quiet. She sleeps for close to 3 hours between feedings and usually has a 4 hour sleep time in the night. We had one night that was a little rough- but it wasn't too bad.
She is getting used to nursing- so am I. I forgot how painful it is in the beginning. Carly is very intrigued by the whole thing and has a lot of questions and comments. She talks about when she gets to be a mommy her chest will get really big and milk will come out for her baby. She talks about my nursing pads, breast pump- you know, things that just don't sound right coming out of a 4 year olds mouth!
The girls are loving having a new sister, and getting to be home all day with her. We had Darrell's niece Jamie come out to help me with the girls and Brittney came also. She needed some time with her man Cody!:) Last summer all she kept saying when she was here was how hot the guys are here- apparently she can't move on from them! Anyway, it's been fun for the girls to have their big cousins here to play with them and take them places. They've gone to the movies, swimming, parks, and on walks. Having the two teenagers in the house has given me a wake up call on what I have to look forward to when my girls get bigger- here are a few pictures.
Clothes left all over because you know you have to change like 4 times before you really like what you are wearing!
Who needs to use a changing table for a baby- it holds shoes and jewelry just fine
Ahh, the mess in a bathroom, Carly won't even go in because she says it's too messy.
Carly and Baylee's room- in a few more days it will be clean again.
I took Baylee in for a weight check and she is gaining back her weight. She has grown a half inch, so now she is 19 and a half inches, and weighs 7 pounds 2 oz. I hate those appointments! You make sure you have them fed and happy, get to the doctors office and you have to strip them down- then they scream, then they want to eat again. I have been teaching the kids how to change diapers, and they were so excited to start trying. I told them I wanted them to wait until Baylee's cord fell off, and after a few mishaps they are praying she has her cord until she's potty trained. They saw just how messy a blow out diaper can be. Carly was really freaked out and repulsed by it. She was really bothered that Baylee missed her diaper and got poop all over her onesie and clothes. Lexi and Ashlee weren't keen on changing poopy diapers, but weren't afraid of the wet ones, until they have watched her pee while I'm changing a diaper- and now they are afraid she will pee on them.
Here are a few pictures of the kids with the baby- they love to hold her, kiss her, touch her, rub her, burp her- you get the idea- they love to be near her.
Lexi and Baylee
Can you tell Carly loves her baby sister?!
Ashlee and Baylee
Carly's friend Anna loved holding her too
Ashlee took this when I was half asleep rocking the baby- one day I will get color back in my face!
I forgot to put a brain squeezer on her!!
These last two pictures are after I had fed her, changed her, and had her sound asleep- of course it's the perfect time for her to poop! I changed her, and then she did it again! I love the newborn faces- they look like little old men!! I also love the bird legs! I feel like I'm going to end up breaking her arm or leg buckling her in her car seat- they are so tiny!!
We love you Miss Baylee and are excited to see you grow!!

Such a sweetheart! I need to come and hold her again. =)
Ditto to what Nicole said.
my kids still can't talk enough about the whole breastfeeding thing. sooo strange!
also...i loose my color for a while after my babies are born. wierd huh?! the ladies at church always worried about it. whatever.
oh yea....cute baby!
What a cute little baby she is! I already miss newborns, mine is almost a year old. It flies by. I love the pic of Carly holding her, such a ham....they all look like great helpers!
Darling little girl! Can't wait to get my hands on her!
She is beautiful! Congrats! I love that the girls love her. That is awesome.
Baylee is so cute! It's amazing how quickly they grow & change at this age. The pictures with the girls are so cute--you can tell they LOVE having a new little sister. And you look great! :)
you havnt aged one bit girl!! :) So sweet
YOu and The Baylee look great! So cute. I love all the baby faces. I hope you are getting some sleep.
she's a keeper! I need my turn holding her... preferably after she poops!
What a beauty! Congrats!
How fun...I am getting too anxious now!!! In my ultrasound yesterday they estimated the baby already weighs in at 7 pounds 8 ounces. Thankfully the specialist agreed that inducing me the week of June 22 is a good idea!
I think you are looking great - even if you say you have no color!!!
She's a cutie! Love the pictures.
Carly's talk about breast feeding is so natural. When Rylee was born, Addyson was 3 and in pre-school. At school, she was "nursing" her baby. The teacher got very upset with her. Addyson tried to explain she was just feeding her baby because she was hungry. I had to explain to the teacher that we didn't have any bottles in our home. Hungry babies are nursed. :)
What a cute litte pink baby. I'm jealous. Kylea can't wait to come and hold her. She doesn't come with as much mess though:)
She is beautiful!! Congrats again!! I love all the pictures!!!
Congratulations!! We were so thrilled when we got on our new computer (we haven't had one for a week)to see our new little cousin - she's darling and looks just like her big sisters! We're so happy that you're all doing well. We look forward to seeing the Wiser's in person!! We love you! Jeff, Staci and kids
