I'm not going to post much- I need to take a nap instead, but I know some of you are wondering how Baylee is doing. They are watching her and monitoring her fever- it came back this morning. All the cultures so far have been negative and if they stay that way she can come home tomorrow. She had a spot on her right lung that looks like it could be the early stage of pneumonia, so she is on IV antibiotics. If the pneumonia is viral she'll have to stay longer, at least till Monday. It has been heartbreaking for me to have to watch her get poked all over. The worst was the spinal tap and I didn't even watch. I left the room- actually was kind of kicked out since I was so upset. But she is doing well- when she has Tylenol she is happy and smiles a lot. Today she was so sad even with the Tylenol. Darrell came to stay with her while I came home to shower, and as soon as Baylee heard her sisters she started smiling and squirming! It was the sweetest thing to watch her get so happy to see them. The girls miss her and are so worried about her. It was hard for them to see her and not be able to hold her, but they understand we don't want them to get sick and we don't want her to get anything they could be carrying. I'll update when she gets home with pictures- she is still the cutest baby ever, even in a peach hospital gown!!

So sad Alyssa. Hope all goes well. I remember too clearly when Wes was in the hospital as a baby with meningitis. They did the spinal tap too - it was awful. Please let me know if I can help at all. Megan would be thrilled if Carlie (sp?) came over to play next week.
So glad to hear Baylee is doing better and will hopefully get to come home soon! I told Addison about her friend. We will keep you guys in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know if you need anything...dinners, babysitters, etc.
I hadn't heard she was in the hospital. I remember all too well when Rylee was hospitalized as a baby. It is so scary and you feel so helpless. Hang in there. The power of prayers is real and will pull you through.
OH Alissa... how sad and scary!!! We will pray HARD for little Baylee. I about cried just reading your post. We love you guys... hang in there and know that we are with you in spirit right now...
Oh my gosh! She'll get better sister. I'll tell our family here and we will include her in our prayers. We love you guys!
Heartbreaking to think of what she has had to endure...and YOU have had to endure. Hang in there!! Is there anything you need?
We've been thinking about you guys and praying that Baylee gets better quickly & can come home soon. Please don't hesitate to call if you need anything!
Oh sad! I didn't know she was in the hospital. I hope she gets better soon and you get some good rest. If you need anything just call.
We are praying, fasting and thinking of you guys. It is so sad to see those little ones getting poked-and then to have the IV in their arms with a board strapped to them. The one good thing is that she probably won't remember it, but it is hard for parents to watch it happen. Good luck-we're praying for the best!
