12 years ago today Darrell and I were married! I remember not even being able to comprehend being married for 5 years, let alone 12!
We met, dated for about 2 1/2- 3 weeks, got engaged, and were married- all with in 3 months. I think I would have a heart attack if one of my girls did that!
When you are first married it's so hard to understand what marriage really means- it's after years and years of ups and downs that come with life that you start to realize how important having a strong and loving relationship is.
When I look back at our wedding pictures some of the first thoughts are- dang my hair was HUGE! And how naive I was to life in general. I am so thankful to have met and married a man who honors the Priesthood, who has such a strong testimony of the Gospel, who loves me even though I can be quite crazy sometimes! He loves our daughter's and works very hard at having a good relationship with each of them. He is my best friend- he is my other half.
On our wedding day I knew I loved him, but after 12 years I REALLY know I love him!

Congratulations! I've been choking on seven years when people ask how long I've been married. I just can't believe it, and I'm sure it's the same with each passing year.
PS: On the "big hair" note (which wasn't crazy big or anything), sometimes I still replan my wedding - like if I had it to do over again...the dress, the flowers, the hair...I can't help myself.
Happy 12 Years! Congratulations!!!
We will also be married 12 years on June 3...and dated 2-3 weeks but we had a little longer engagement...4 months from first date to marriage...I love it!
I have always admired you guys! Thanks for your friendship. I am so glad that we were able to get to know you that short period of time.
so sweet!!! Flies by doesnt it :)
I kind of remember that day... I think. I was only 8. :) My parent's anniversary is on Friday. 22 years! Time goes by so fast. Thanks for being such a great example to me, and having such a GREAT family!!! Love you!
So true what you said... reminds me of the chorus of a song I know: "It wasn't that I lied, all those times I said I love (I really loved you)... but time has brought new meaning to that "I love you" and compared to how I love you now it's almost like it wasn't love before."
Happy anniversary!
Congrats on 12! I couldn't believe we'd been married for 5 this year. 12 years and some beautiful daughters later, you guys make an awesome couple!
