Piano(s)

We finally bought a piano. I swear they haven't had any on craigslist in so long- so I was very excited when we found this one!

Yes it needs some help, but if you've seen what my mom's piano used to look like and what it looks like now- I knew we could fix this one up just as nice.

A few weeks later a friend called me saying they knew someone trying to sell a really nice piano for a great price. I told her we had just bought one, but I was kind of bummed that after we bought the other one a nicer one would fall into our lap.
After having her send me pictures of the piano, and hearing it had already been restained and tuned- and it was an upright, I knew I wanted it.

So we are now the owners of two piano's! I have listed the Wurlitzer back on craigslist, but haven't gotten many responses. But, I do know it will sell in time.

The girls all love playing the piano's. They will each sit down at one, and also turn on the keyboard and play to their hearts content. I usually make them stop sooner then they'd like- it gets really loud!

Sounds like there is lots to celebrate in the Wiser home this month! Birthdays, anniversaries, new pianos...oh my! HAPPY MONTH to you!!! :)

I love your piano story, isn't it funny how that seems to happen?!!?

Our piano buying experience was simliar...I had been thinking about buying a piano for a couple of months but hadn't done much about it. We were driving one day, saw a sign - like a yard sale sign - advertising a "Piano Sale" in the state streets area. We decided to check it out and they had filled the house with pianos (long story short, supposedly they had previously owned a piano store, had some electrical issue, were in dispute with the insurance company and needed to liquidate the assets...weird). We fell in love with a beautiful Young Change (similar to the upright you now have) and have loved it.

Things always fall into place when you need them to. I'm glad to hear the girls are putting the piano(s) to good use! :)
