Surprise!

This weekend Darrell surprised me with a night away! I knew something was going on- but I couldn't even get the kids to spill the beans. Friday he came home early and we took our kids over to my friends house to stay the night. What a great friend to take on 3 chatty little girls and one who was being a little naughty! THANK YOU SO MUCH AMY!! We had so much fun! We went to dinner- PF Chang's- mmmmmm! Then went to the mall- yes we have one here! We shopped for hours and it was so fun! Darrell really likes shopping- but when you have kids it's not fun, and when you leave them with a sitter and are thinking how much you're going to be paying you just don't enjoy it as much. There were great sales- which always make it more fun! We stayed at the Hilton and got up Saturday, went to breakfast, and then of course more shopping. We picked up the kids around 1:00 and it was a break I didn't realize I needed. It helped me and Darrell remember we do know how to have a conversation not revolving around kids or everyday things- it was so nice just to have uninterrupted time with each other. The kids had fun, and were glad to be a part of a big surprise for me. Thanks Darrell, Lexi, Ashlee, and Carly for giving me such a great surprise for the big #9 Anniversary!
