Every morning Carly and I sit by the window and watch the kids at the bus stop, you know to make sure someone doesn't come steal my older girls! This morning I was talking to Carly and she was talking about Sunbeam's- she thinks she's big stuff now that she doesn't go to Nursery. Here is the conversation we had.
"Carly, who is Jesus?"
"No Mom, it's Jesus Christ."
"Oh, who is Jesus Christ?"
"He's the guy."
"What guy?"
"The guy that builds a house, our house."
"Wow, I didn't know that!"
"He lives in the house too."
"Well that's cool. What's a Sunbeam?"
"I have to show you, it's what Jesus is."
She then sings Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam, and each jump is a Sunbeam.
I was laughing so hard! She then asked me questions.
"Mom, why is church snacky?"
"Do you mean why do you have snacks in church?
"Yeah."
"So you will be quiet through church."
"Mom, the Holy Ghost is sooooo spoooooky!"
"Oh, he's not spooky, he's a nice ghost."
I didn't really know how to respond to that last comment, but at least she now thinks the Holy Ghost is nice not spooooky! Then the bus came and we were off to get ready for the day. I love this little girl! She can for sure make me want to scream, but she also makes me laugh constantly!

I love little mommy moments like those - did any of those tornadoes come close to your house?
I've heard several of our Sunbeams say the HG is spooky. I asked Justin(a sunbeam also) about the HG. All he could say is he's dead and lives with father heaven....sounds like I've got some more teaching to do.
So cute! I have a hard time with that Holy GHOST question too. Sometimes I wish we could call him something less spooky sounding!
