What A Weekend!

We have had so much excitement this weekend! We went to Texas and have brought home Darrell's nephew's Caleb and Chase. They will live with us at least until the end of this school year. Danielle and Josh were very sad to say bye to their boys, but they know we will take good care of them until they get things straightened out.
Caleb is almost 6 and such a good kid! He is pretty quiet, but can get loud and crazy also. Chase is 4 almost 5 and very inquisitive. He wants to know why he can't do things and likes to test boundaries- he has learned I don't joke about the time out corner. They are really good boys and we love having them here. They have handled the transition so well, they haven't seen us in almost 2 years and didn't really remember who we were.
Lexi and Ashlee love having them here and keep saying how much fun it is to have "almost brothers!" Princess Carly has had here world tipped upside down- she no longer has the house to herself, ans shares a room with Lexi- the boys took her room- so she's trying to get a handle on things. I know in time she'll do better- her and Chase butt heads because they both struggle in the sharing department.
We are so thankful that we can take these boys in our home- they have brought so much joy in the last few days! I am trying to get used to boy things- running, loud, mouth noises that only boys can make, and just the typical craziness that comes with boys. I had to remind myself a few times they need different toys, sitting down playing dolls is not their idea of fun! But in a few weeks I know we'll all be use to each other and get all the kinks worked out.

Caleb was so excited to stay in a hotel, this smile was at an early 6:00 am!

Chase could hardly eat, he couldn't wait to get to Arkisaw!

Wow! What a big change. You will do great taking care of 5! Make lots of trips to the park to get all of their energy out and you'll be fine. Good Luck!

WOW! You are truly amazing. Good for you! Even having a boy, I don't think I know what it is really like to have ALL boys...Brady is around girls so is generally pretty mellow and will play house with Marissa. Good luck!

Thats really cool! But it would be even cooler if I lived with you guys till the end of the school year. It would take me along time to adjust I would get really home sick. I would be scared to go to school because I wouldn't know anyone. But I think it would be lots of fun!!! But I don't think I could adjust to the time change. And I'm sure you wouldn't like getting up at 6 a.m. to do my hair, like my mom. But you would know what it is like to have a twelve year old in your house hold. My parents say its a bad thing because they can cop up an attitude.LOL!!!:)

You guys are awesome. When I had Carter, my Parents had two of my cousins living with them. It was really really hard on their marriage. It took a lot of patience. You with boys!!! Ha Ha
