Is 30 Over the Hill?!

Today I turned the big 3-0! I can't decide how I feel about it- I kind of don't care, but I don't want to start being looked at as old now that I'm in my 30's! I decided last night i would list 30 random things about me that you probably don't know.

1. I could spend HOURS in the bath reading books- I also have been known to fall asleep, then wake back up and keep reading. The secret is refill the bath when it get's cold!
2. I love silly socks. I have always like them but was embarrassed to wear them around people until I met my friend Tara- she loved silly socks also. I know have two drawer full of CRAZY looking socks!
3. I can't stand flannel sheets!! I love to get in a bed with cold sheets.
4. I am totally blind with out my contacts or glasses- if you're 3 feet in front of me I can't see your face- you would be just a big blob!
5. I have to floss my teeth all the time! I use to carry it around with me but my kids would unravel it all the time, so now I have to wait until I get home.
6. I hate a dirty bathroom! I clean and wipe ours down all the time, and can't stand if there are water spots on the mirror.
7. I have learned to really enjoy exercise. I have yet to loose weight, but I feel really good working out almost every day. I have been blessed to find friends who will walk with me each night- even if it's barely 30 degree's outside!!
8. I have a hard time transitioning to wife from mom.
9. My favorite breakfast is french toast and chocolate milk. Darrell makes this for me every Mother's Day. Well actually one year he didn't because I was expecting it and he was bugged I was asking him to make them a certain way- oops!
10. I feel very incompetent in my calling in the Presidency. I feel like everything is handled and taken care of- I'm just not a creative person at all!
11. I'm not good at telling when my kids are sick or being whiny. Like last week when I took Lexi in for an ear ache thinking that was causing her to have a little cough- um, it was pneumonia!
12. I love to have vacuum lines after i vacuum. I didn't realize how OCD I was about it until I overheard Lexi telling Ashlee to tip toe down the hall so they wouldn't mess up the lines.
13. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Christmas season! Christmas music starts here and there in October in my house and then constant after October 31.
14. I don't like being in front of people. When it's my turn to conduct in RS I'm a mess up there!
15. I love to read LDS romance novels. I love good love stories, but they have to be clean or it makes me want to throw up.
16. I am totally one of those mom's that would walk my kids to the bus stop in my robe. In fact one morning the kids were goofing around at the bus stop, and I stood outside in my robe hollering down to them telling them to knock it off. Is that southern of me?!
17. I was quite obsessed with the Twilight series. I have read each book at least 4 or five times, probably more, but I don't want to sound to ridiculous!
18. I love to go shopping in the morning. Like 7:30ish. I love being alone and getting everything very quickly. The problem I run into is some stores don't open that early, so I end up at Wal- Mart most of the time.
19. I hate laundry and dishes- they are never done!
20. I love being a member of the church and have never doubted the truth of it.
21. I love my husband, and he is my best friend
22. I don't know why I do this, but every Saturday I am usually grouchy. I don't know if it's because our routine is off or what- but it's no fun. Maybe it's to make Darrell be glad to go back to work on Mondays!
23. I LOVE my kids! I may complain about them, but my life would really be nothing with out my girl's!
24. I get lost VERY easy! I can live somewhere for years and still end up taking a wrong turn and have to call someone for directions. I won't list examples because the list would never stop.
25. I have to lotion every time I shower. I am the reason lotion companies are doing so well.
26. I could eat brownies for breakfast and not be sick- tried and tested many times!
27. The dishes in my dishwasher have to be a certain way- I want to get as many in as a can so I don't have to hand wash any!
28. I enjoy mowing the lawn, but won't do it unless Darrell is outside with me. I was going to surprise Darrell one day and mow the front and back lawn- I broke the lawn mower- it was smoking and everything! Turns out I started it on a little hill- and now I'm terrified to start a lawn mower.
29. Will not touch or let my kids touch public doors, trash can's, or railings. If they do they get hand sanitizer very quickly.
30. The last thin you all will love to know about me is.... I love to snuggle up with a blanket and read or watch TV by the fireplace.

Wow! That was hard to try and think of those right off the top of my head! I hope you enjoy learning a few interesting facts about me! I am excited to see what the 30's bring me- by the time I turn 40 I will have 3 teenager's and Lexi will almost be 18! Oh man- that really makes me sad! I'm hoping I can hold off on the gray hairs- I keep checking and have 2 that grow in the same spot all the time, but so far I haven't noticed any others. So my last thing is - Is 30 considered over the hill?! Actually, no one answer that if it is, I don't want to know!!
