The Addiction- to Wii?!

Here in the Wiser house we are adjusting to all the electronics the kids got for Christmas. Love the Ipod shuffles! When Saturday comes and all the Saturday jobs, Lexi and Ash grab their shuffles and start cleaning. Obviously there is whining before since no one wants to do jobs- even I whine about it! But once their music is on they don't complain, fight, or whine! They are in their own little world of music singing and cleaning. Now if only we can convince Carly that cleaning can be fun! Maybe I need to turn her Dora cd on more.
We took a quick trip up to Springfield MO to watch my niece Brooke in a cheer competition. The Nintendo DS came in handy. They all 3 had their head phones in and played on and off for the 2 hours.
The one electronic none of us can get enough of is the Wii! Everyone does jobs, homework, and what ever else needs to be done so we can all play. We only have 2 controllers so there still is the occasional fight of who gets to play who, but we all have a lot of fun. The best is when you are watching the 2 play, all the little movements we make to try and do our best at the game. Darrell does this little bounce thing before he putt's each time, I completely hunch over. Lexi gets a very serious look and practices, lines up, makes everything just right before she goes. Ashlee has a little hop to everything- batting, tennis, even sometimes in bowling! Carly, well Carly is all over the stinkin place. She has learned the importance of a tightened strap- so have her parents! She has hit me with the remote, it has flown and almost hit the TV- she really gets into her games!
We only have Wii sports and Wii play- but for now it's plenty! We all have a lot of fun, and I realized Darrell and I get a little competitive with each other. We need the kids there to keep us in line and remind us to be good sports!
So would I say we have an addiction- yep, I sure would!
By the way- if anyone has tips on tennis, I could use them. I am terrible! I really want to beat Darrell! I don't mind the kids can beat me- something different when it's the spouse!!:)

HA HA HA! Yep, we are addicted too! We got Wii Fit for Christmas, and there are tons of fun, active games on there too, like ski slolums, ski jump, hula hoop (this is a great workout for the abs!), and some fun balance games that are fun, but you have to use your whole body, as well as strength exercises and yoga. So fun! I like it because we can all play and have fun, and it's active. I'm not good at tennis either, on Wii Sports, so no tips here. We love the bowling and boxing (I always knock Neil out)! Anyway, have fun with all your games! Oh, and by the way...what you need to do is just practice during the day, while Darrell is at work, so you can beat him at everything! :)

Isn't the Wii fun? My favorite is to watch the boys box - even Andrew gets into it! We have four controllers, but even then, I still don't get the chance to play much. No tips for tennis - I'm awful, too!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Wii! Isn't it a great motivational tool for chores?
And the Ipods are awesome too - Taylor and Zach both got one and it seems to be alot quieter around here. They love to listen to their music.

Sounds like they are going to have to make a Wii addicts group!

Who can resist the Wii?!? My husband is a teacher and gets to stay home all summer with the girls while I go to work. As if that doesn't fuel my jealousy enough, when I came home each night, I would pull up how long he had been playing the Wii each day while I was working hard...you wouldn't believe 4 or 5 hours!!! And he is not normally a video gamer.

Keep enjoying and having fun!
