I have posted before about school getting cancelled for the tiny-est bit of snow. Yesterday was one of those days. In the school districts defense- there is no snow equipment to clear roads and the buses have to go on some crazy roads to pick up kids, so if they are slick it's dangerous.
They kids LOVED having a day off and playing the Wii. When I let them go outside I think they were a little depressed there wasn't more snow to play in, but they still had plenty of fun. Since it doesn't snow often we don't have snow shovels and all that fun stuff, so we had to be creative.

Lexi is using our broom we use to clean the garage with.

Ashlee is using the only shovel we have and unfortunately it's only a foot and a half tall.

Carly was using the ice scraper and trying to shovel with it.
Aren't we so creative?! The funniest part to me was when Carly suddenly dropped in the drive way to do a snow angel- there wasn't enough snow to do it in the grass!

Love the snow angel on the driveway, in the less than half inch of snow! :)
That is so funny that it was canceled. Good for you...We always loved Snow Days!
Very creative ways to play in the snow!
Hahaha! Carley cracks me up. She must have wanted to mke a snow angel so bad! Was it pretty cold? To me it lokked so warm still. I was laughing that yoour kids were all bundled up!
Ok, Carly is hilarious. I love it!!
I think you guys did a good job rounding up tools to use in the snow. I wouldn't have known Lexi was using a push broom, I had to look real close! I'm glad you guys had fun. How are you feeling?
who said shoveling snow wasn't fun!?!?
How fun! Okay I want to see my name on your list of blog friends. I know you check on me every so often - I hope. Darris snitched you out, he said you're a Grease 2 fan.
