Names Names Names

I like to start thinking about baby names early- Darrell doesn't. Therefore, you guys get to be my ears for listening to names, and helping me think of new names. My cousin was nice enough to come up with some, and then I looked on a few websites and found more. Here are the names Darrell and I both agree on. We want a name that starts with B, so we'll have A- Alissa, Ashlee, and Alexi. B- baby. C- Carly. D- Darrell. If this little pattern doesn't work out we have to do a C name so Carly won't be the only one without an A name!

Girl Names-
Bailey- I have loved this name since I was in elementary school, then when the Oklahoma City bombing happened there was a picture of a fireman carrying a little girl out of the rubble- her name was Bailey.
Bree- I really like this name, but Darrell thinks it sounds too much like a nickname, it's growing on him though.
Brighton- I just heard this name and of course I like it, Darrell is just ok with it.
Blakely- I don't know whether this is a boy or girl name, but I like it as a girl, so that's where it goes! Another one Darrell is just ok with.

Boy Names-
Breck- We both like this name, but I think there will be times he would be made fun of.
Brian- Darrell's middle name. I like it, he doesn't- weirdo!
Brock- We both like also, but again- name calling will probably happen.
Bud- We really wouldn't EVER do this, but it would be fun, and since Darrell's Dad's favorite beer was Budweiser, he wanted to name Darrell Bud!

Boy names are really hard for us, and really the reality of us needing a boy name are quite slim, but we do have to be prepared. Something I would love to put in the name is all of us have an A and L in our first name- and we all have a double letter either in our first or middle name. I didn't do any of this on purpose, but with this being our last I don't want them to be left out. So all of you wrack your brains and go through B names- see if you can help us out!

Here are a few Darrell won't agree to, but I like them. Baden, Benson, Bennett, Brecken, Bryant, and Bryce. Girl names he won't agree to: Bentley, Brielle, and Brecken. So if you have time on your hands in this crazy busy time of year- feel free to list names!!

I liked some of the names that you picked.. But here are some B names that I like. I have always loved Brooke for a girl but Chris would never give in. Also for girls I like Bella and Brooklyn.

Boys-I like Blake,Brayden,Brady, and Brody...
Good luck on your search for a name. I'm sure you will pick a great name!!!

Neil and I always started thinking about names early on too, because it took us 9 months to finally decide on one! We usually had it narrowed down to a couple by the time the baby was born, but wanted to wait and see the baby before deciding for sure. I really like the name Bailey for a girl. We had thought about that name too (and it fits your criteria of an A and an L in the name). I also like the name Bella (not because of Twilight, though--I've always thought it was pretty). And I'm kind of partial to BudWiser for a boy name...ha ha ha. I really like Blake also. And using Darrell's middle name in some way would be nice, to have that special tie to daddy. Anyway, good luck! :)

Names I agree with Darrell about not agreeing on - Boys: Baden, Brecken (for a boy), Bryce (it had its time), Bennett.

Girls: Bentley...maybe as a middle name, but not as a first. One of my best girl friends in high school was Brecken, and I love it, but it doesn't seem to fit with the rest. All the other Wiser names are soft - they don't have a hard sound like a t, d, or k in the middle.

Brielle fits the criteria, but I'm still the biggest fan of Bailey for a girl, and Blake for a boy...even with the k...I think because it doesn't have a syllable after.

So, I told Neil about you needing help finding a baby name, and he had a little too much fun comming up with some real winners! We were both laughing pretty hard. I gave him your criteria of it starting with a B and having an A and an L in the name. So these are the names he came up with...Girls names: Belinda, Bellissa, Bedarrell, and for Boys: Barthallamew, Balejandro, and Blaze. I still think you should go with Carly's choices and choose either LaFonda or Shaniqua if it's a girl--Forget the pattern--make Carly's dream come true! :)

Seriously, though, we both really like Bailey, Bella, and Blake (and Neil really likes Blaze).

I love Brinley & Brylee...those were in the running for Rissa. Of course, for boys, I like Brady/Braden. I love that you have a little theme going, that is awesome!

Brianna (has an a and double letter) for a girl. Bella (double letter), Bernadette, Bibianna (one of my friend's name), Brianne, Brittany.

Bobby (no a but double letters) for a boy. Boys are hard. It took hours and hours and days and days for us to agree on my son's name!

OK, you are getting demanding in your ole age
needs a "B", and an "A", and a "L", with a double letter in there. .
So I thought carly's middles name was nicole-where is the double letter?
We'll look for ya!

I know I'm getting demanding- but it's kind of fun to have a challenge too! Thanks for all the names so far- Blake is for sure out- Darrell is very opposed, you know when you know someone with that name and it ruins it?! I really like Bella too- but with my infatuation with Twilight I won't even bring it up to Darrell because I know he will say no way. Keep looking and so will we!! Thanks!

I know they don't fit with having an A and an L, but I've always loved Brady for a boy. And a cool girl name that I heard years ago is Brittania - I know it's out there, but I love it....

I started coming up with a couple of smart alec ones like Brahma (the bull) for a boy... but that's just no help at all, is it? I do love Bennett for a boy's name, and I think Brady is a good strong boy's name. Both are tough football boy names. Please, oh please, I beg of you, do NOT name this baby Bailey if she's a girl. I know too many male dogs named that. It's also the kind of name that fits girls who get carried out of bombed buildings or pulled up old well shafts. Sorry if I've offended anyone. None of these names I'm suggesting fit your criteria, but Bella or Isabella is really beautiful. Of course Twilight fans will be especially fond of it... Oh, and one last plug against a name: Bree. Brie is a kind of nasty soft cheese. Just FYI. No offense BrieAnn. But if your husband comes at you with a cracker, run. I don't know her or Stacey, but her husband forgot Bedazzle. ;)
