I actually remembered to take pictures of the girls at one of their games. Since it was late the flash came on, so you just get to see them running to first. They both are doing great! Ashlee has really started loving it- she has been hitting each game and gotten really good at stopping the ball and knowing where to throw it. Lexi loves to be pitcher and on first base. She has quite the arm. She really wants to pitch next year- right now it's machine pitch.

Dad giving a little pep talk before the inning starts. This game was their first loss, but they played so well! This team had HUGE girls and they all could hit! We have 7 that can hit, and 4 that struggle. We told them not to pay attention to the score- just play how you normally would. They ended up coming back 11 to 18- they worked so hard!

Lexi and Ashlee had field day yesterday- they had so much fun! I was able to go in the morning while they were inside- and happily let Darrell come in the afternoon and do the outside with them. They had dancing, BINGO, crafts, and a movie in the morning. It was fun to spend time with each of them, I will be so sad the day it's not cool to have your mom come to school with you! Ashlee loved the dancing part- and we all thought it was funny to watch her teacher get into the dancing too. He is such a reserved man- I was actually kind of shocked to see him dancing. He has been a great teacher- he even does yoga with the kids in the morning.
Darrell had fun going to all the outside things. His favorite was during the tug of war he would sneak in and help the girls win. With Lexi's class the boys won a few times in a row, so he couldn't help humbling them by giving a HUGE pull and pulling them all int he pool of water. When he did it with Ashlee's class the boys were so confused at how strong the girls were. He didn't want to worry about the camera so we don't have any pictures of that.
Today was Lexi and Ashlee's piano recitals. They both did so well. This was Ashlee's first recital and last week they had her change her song since someone else was playing the same thing. I worried it would upset her or stress her out- she did great and was excited to choose her new song. Her songs were Love Somebody and A Friend Like You.
This was Lexi's third recital and she amazes me at how well she plays and memorizes. She forgot a little in I Often Go Walking- but did great to remember to go back and do it over instead of getting upset. Her two songs were I Often Go Walking and Malaguana. I love listening to them both play.
I love to go in at watch the girls sleep- it doesn't matter how stinky they have been during the day, when they are asleep all I see are three little angels. There were quick baths and showers and they were all asleep in 10 minutes.
Lexi has slept with this quilt since she was born.
Ashlee always has an animal in bed with her- and she sleeps in funny ways!

Carly really wanted her robe on, and had to make sure her baby was properly covered before she went to bed, do you see her drool spots?!
